dress-measurementStep’n Out cannot assume responsibility for the size ordered or the measurements taken. The customer is responsible for the size they order.

We recommend having your measurement taken at another bridal shop or by a professional seamstress or tailor for the best results. We do not recommend you measure yourself. Designers sizes are determined  by the bust, waist, and hip measurements. See the helpful tips below!

Taking the Bust Measurement

  1. Stand straight with your heels together and run the tape underneath your underarm. Once the tape is positioned correctly drop your arms to your side.
  2. Place the measuring tape so that it covers the widest part of your back and the fullest part of your bust.
  3. Do not pull the tape too tight. The tape should be flush with your skin or undergarments without creating a divot in your skin.

Taking the Waist Measurement

  1. Standing straight, bend to your side. The bend is your natural waist.
  2. Place the measuring tape around your natural waist.
  3. Do not pull the tape too tight.

Taking the Hip Measurement

  1. Stand tall with your heels together and arms down at your side.
  2. Place the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips.
  3. Do not pull the tape too tight.
